Fall Spectacular Sept 22-24

Special Events at our September 22-24 Show

NERCHA 5-Event Challenge:

This year, we have changed our 4-Event Challenge to the 5-Event Challenge, adding breakaway roping to the event!

This event is non-sanctioned, which means it is open to anyone! For this challenge, riders will compete in all 5 events: ranch riding, breakaway roping, herd work, reining, and cow work (competing down the fence). Riders will follow AQHA bit rules, riding one-handed and must use the same equipment for ALL events. Ranch riding and breakaway roping will follow AQHA rules. The breakaway roping will use a point system to rank those in order from fastest to slowest time.  Herd work, reining, and cow work will all follow NRCHA event rules. Scores from all events will be added to determine the winner.

With the exception of the breakaway roping, which will run in its own class, all other classes will run concurrently with Open and Non-Pro classes.

Schedule of Events:

Ranch Riding: Friday evening

Breakaway Roping: Friday evening

Herd Work: Saturday (running concurrently with the Open or Non-Pro Ranch Cutting classes)

Reined Work and Cow Work: Saturday (running concurrently with the Open Bridle, or Non-Pro Bridle for those cross-entering into the Non-Pro Bridle class.  Those entering this class who are not cross-entering in the NRCHA concurrent class will run at the end of the class)

As we trial this new and improved class, with hopes to continue to grow it and improve it in years to come, we will be requiring a minimum of 5 entries for the class to have the $500 added. If we do not have 5 entries, we will still have the $100 add back from each entry, and the $50 for each class winner in the event. We know you are out there, so brush up your skills and come on out!

If you are cross-entering into the corresponding NERCHA or NRCHA class that has a cattle fee, you will not pay for the cattle fee twice.

NRCHA Bridle Spectacular Classes (Open Bridle Spectacular, Non-Pro Bridle Spectacular, Non-Pro Boxing Spectacular):

All horses must use an NRCHA-approved spade bit.  The herd work will run concurrently with the Open and Non-Pro Ranch Cutting on Sunday.  The reined and cow work will run concurrently with the corresponding Open Bridle, Non-Pro Bridle, and Non-Pro Boxing classes on Sunday.

If you are cross-entering into the corresponding NRCHA class, you will not pay for the cattle fee twice.
